I just tried the snipping tool and grabbed part of a web page, then pasted that into a RoboHelp topic. It did not change the size.

Hi Peter,
I am really grateful for your patience and the time you have invested in helping me out. I posted my query to Gemini and I got this answer:
This issue usually stems from a "handshake" problem between Windows high-DPI scaling and how RoboHelp interprets clipboard data. When you snip an image on a high-resolution monitor (e.g., 4K or a laptop with 150% scaling), the Snipping Tool captures the physical pixels, but RoboHelp may try to "fit" it based on a default 96 DPI setting, causing it to look much larger or smaller than intended.
Here is a breakdown of why this happens and how to fix it.
1. High DPI Scaling Conflict
If your Windows display scaling is set to anything other than 100% (common on modern laptops), the Snipping Tool captures the image at the scaled resolution. RoboHelp often lacks the logic to automatically downscale that "high-density" image back to the logical size of your editor.
The Fix: Go to Windows Settings > System > Display. Check your "Scale and layout." If it is at 125% or 150%, try setting it to 100% just to test. If the paste size is then correct, you've confirmed it's a scaling conflict.
I have now changed the setting of 125% which was the recommended setting for my laptop to 100% as suggested by Gemini and now the size issue is resolved.
Once again I am really thankful for all your time and efforts!
Thanks!
