Question

How to change topic for requests coming when no topic/Map ID

The content sensitive help is great when it goes to directly to a topic that has a Map ID.

What if there is a request coming in and there is no topic/Map ID.   Currently it appears to default to the main page (index.htm > default topic -- in my case the home page).

Is there a way to keep the "default topic/home page" while having any requests coming in to go to a No Map ID topic?

I've looked through the community and Peter's site (VERY helpful site!), but I cannot find any information on this.

The only thing I can suggest trying is to make sure your default topic/home page HAS a MapID assigned and then see what happens when you launch a CSH call to a MapID that doesn't exist.

That appears to be a feature of using map ids. I have always had to work with URLs which have the behaviour you want.

https://www.grainge.org/Introduction/About_Me_and_This_Site.htm will work on my site.

https://www.grainge.org/Introduction/About_Me_and_This_Site2.htm will go to a 404 page that I have edited.

I don't know if the different behaviour with map ids is something Adobe have programmed or is just a general HTML thing.

I suggest for this one you need to go to Adobe Support. See https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/enterprise-support.other.html#robohelp for your Adobe Support options. The email link tcssup@adobe.com is recommended as it reaches a team dedicated to Technical Communication Suite products including RoboHelp.
