Question

How to give access for reviews in RH 2026?

I’m using RH 2026.03.13.

According to this review approach with the Review tab discussed here https://helpx.adobe.com/robohelp/using/review-process.html, what exactly is needed to allow SMEs in our company that DO have Adobe accounts but that do NOT own RoboHelp to review documentation updates in our help?

According to that help page, it show these three prerequisites:

  • To create or participate in an online review, you must set up your Adobe account to get started. The content that you share for review is stored in the cloud storage linked to your Adobe account.
  • To successfully share content, ensure that the Creative Cloud Desktop App is installed on your system.
  • For smooth operation, clear your browser cache before accessing the Review Service URL.

I assume these are what’s needed for the person doing the review and that I myself do not need to install Create Cloud Desktop app, correct? I am able to create the review link and view it on my side, but SME cannot.

She said:
When I click my [company] adobe account, it said "Your administrator hasn't assigned any apps or services to your account. Contact your administrator to request access."

SME installed Created Cloud (CC). It still didn’t work.

Our IT person said, “ This is most likely the case that you can't use our [company] email for a free CC account since our licensing controls our [company] CC and Adobe accounts and permissions.”

We’re hoping to allow anyone in our company with an Adobe account to be able to review doc review links that I submit via RoboHelp’s Review tab interface. Is that possible? If so what are the steps?

Thanks Peter, I found it somewhat clunky too… And initially picking topics was so cumbersome I about gave up… until I found out you can sort by date. Whew! That helped a lot so I could just choose the topics I modified that way.
Thanks for the link, Jeff, taking a look now.

No reviewer edits in RoboHelp, it’s simply that if they have RoboHelp they already have an Adobe ID.

Personally I don’t like the Review process as the editing uses the Acrobat editor and compared with Word I find that is clunky.

That means the reviewers are using an editor that is not as smooth as Word that they will be familiar with and the edits from the Review process are not automatic. Thus there is no advantage to you.

My site www.grainge.org includes many free Authoring and RoboHelp resources that may be of help.
