Hyperlink Destination (file or URL) is sometimes file name and sometimes title

I have a project.  When I add/modify hyperlinks on my desktop computer, I see the available files in the project as their file names.  When I open the same project on my laptop, I see the available files by their topic titles.  I'd much prefer topic title, but I can't figure out what the setting is to switch between them.
