Question

I'm using Robohelp 2022 and cannot get my table to center

I've tried just about everything I can think of from using text centering button, to center aligning table button, to indent button, even selecting table and attempting to use inline centering by inserting <center> tag. No dice. I have no idea on going in and manually messing with the .css, I'm pretty much a novice when it comes to that, but shouldn't it work as advertised without having to do all that?

Do you want all tables to be centred? Or just a few individual tables. The solution is similar for both options but applied in different places.

For all tables, in your stylesheet, find the table style and set the left and right margin to 'auto' (click the padlock icon so you can set each side independently). You can also add a new table style if you want only some tables centred (e.g. table.centred), then apply that style to any table that should be centred.

For only a few tables you can do the same thing inline. I would only recommend doing this if you know it's only going to be one or two tables, ever.  Select the table (you might need to use the tag breadcrumbs at the top of the topic to select the table correctly), then in the General section set the left and right margin to 'auto' (the same as described above).

Do note that if your table width is set to 100% you won't see any difference.
