Image size error creating PDF - RH 2022.3.93

Hi,

 

I put a linked image with size 9000 x 9000 px in RoboHelp and scaled it in the properties to 1500 x 1500 px.

After that the PDF creation failed.

When scaling the source image to 2000 x 2000 px, the PDF succeeded.

What is the maximim image size to be used in RH? I cannot find it anywhere.

    I am not aware of specific measurements and it seems bizarre that the larger size works when the smaller size works. I'm not clear whether you have an original large size restricted to something smaller or you have created a separate smaller version of the image. 

     

    Personally I always size images for print in imperial or metric measurements and keep the width to the page size. That said, RoboHelp is supposed to resize. 

     

    In the PDF preset Advanced Settings there are some image settings. Have you tried those?

    Thank you Peter,

    I resised the original image from 9000 to 2000 px. That worked fine.
    In the feature we will keep this in mind and resise new images to maximum 2000 px.

    In most documents we rescale it in the properties to the desired size to appear in the pdf.
