Impact on Clearing Cookies to HTML5 Internally-Hosted Website
Developing output in RH 2020.1
Generating HTML5 merged output in Azure_Blue.
Hosting/serving up output on/as IIS website for internal staff.
Company-supported/allowed web browsers include Chrome and Edge (Chromium).
Staff report issues performing searches and/or using the output after they clear cookies.
For example, one staff member cleared “Cookies and other site data” in Chrome, opened the Help, performed a search, and nothing happened. No results, no pinwheel. She tried refreshing the page and searching again and the same thing happened – no results, no pinwheel. She then received a “Page Unresponsive” message. She selected Wait. Approx 5 minutes after her initial search, the search results appeared.
Insight, thoughts, advice, or guidance to pass along on staff clearing cookies (I know the individual favorites function - something we hope to deploy eventually - depend on them, but we're not using that yet)? What about clearing browser history?
