Import indexes from spreadsheet

Good morning all,

Is there a way to import an excel document to assign indexes to topics, or do we have to manually go to each topics and assign indexes. We have 8600 topics which could be a lenghty process.

Thank you !

    Looking deeper, the index file only holds the index terms, not the topics associated with the term. The header of each topic contains the keywords for that topic. The two get merged on generation.

    Sorry but it looks like the long haul as a line like this is required in each topic with the keyword(s) for that topic.

    <meta name="rh-index-keywords" content="One" />

    Looks like that is your weekend gone then. 🙂

    Definitely nothing built in. Try creating a couple of index entries in RoboHelp. Then open the index file in a text editor. to see if you or a friendly developer can figure out a way to create it.

    If you can follow Peter's suggestion and then send me the spreadsheet and index file, I may be able to script this. Send me the files offlist to rick at frameexpert dot com. Thanks.
