Importing Word docs (creates multiple topics)

When I import a word document it creates multiple topics for each file breaking up the document. How can i prevent this. The word document contains bulleted and number lists.

In the "Import Word Document Wizard : Split on Style" window, all styles are displayed in a list under the option "Create new topics based on." This is where you decide how topics will be split, if at all. You might want to make a copy of the Word file first, then modify the Headings if need be. Then import that modified copy.
