Question

In collated ToC, some hidden topic headings are still visible

Hi, we are using RoboHelp 2020.8.34. We have project A and releted project B collated ToC. A is master Toc and B output is merged with it. Now some of the topics are hidden in ToC B and merged with ToC, still these are reflecting in ToC A though they are not opening in generated Help but appear in ToC. How to remove them from ToC A as well?

I don't think this is a version issue but I would point out that your subscription does allow you to update to 2022.6 at no extra cost.

I'm not clear from your wording whether you are merging in the prescribed way or have created a TOC in A that has individual links to topics in B.

    Take a look at https://www.grainge.org/RoboHelp/Merged_Help/Merging_New_UI.htm

Essentially merging the way I have described means TOC B topics are hidden and it is B's TOC that appears within the merged TOC the user sees. If the topics are added directly to A, that project does not know the topics are hidden.

Come back if you are not sure when you have looked at my tutorial.

UPDATE - If you are linking to a topic in another project but not as a merged project, the link needs to be written in a different way.

    We tried the following:
    1. Cleared cache, restrared the system.

    2. Cleared outputs from the folder at qa server, and then copied outputs of B in the collated Help output of A.

    3. Pushed the required files to the server.

Still the file names are reflecting in ToC, which actually should not be dispayed since the topics are hidden from B.
