Question

Inappropriate overrides applied to some text

I have imported a FrameMaker book into RoboHelp (by reference). In one table (and in a few other, isolated cases), two paragraphs that are assigned the same FrameMaker style are formatted differently in the RoboHelp topic. I have checked the FrameMaker source, and no overrides have been applied. I have checked the HTML, and an override has been applied. The problem is not corrected by selecting Update or Force Update.

How can I fix or work around this?

I had sworn off looking at the HTML, because it was making me crazy, and things were looking OK in the Design tab. Then I generated & looked at the output.

Here's what I saw when I looked at the HTML: Half the time, the style mapping/HTML code looks fine. But the other half of the time, rather than applying the selected HTML style, a <pre class=whateverstyle> is applied and, of course no formatting is done.

Somebody please tell me that I am somehow causing this & can fix it.

What do you think is the best way to report bugs to Adobe? I'm amassing a list.
