Hi

The index files are missing in the left panel (under the author tab) when we migrated a project from RH 2017 to RH 2020. Please help me to find the right solution.

Not that it should make a difference but why upgrade to 2020 when 2022 is the current version?

When you upgrade the index file should upgrade without issues and if there have been problems reported, it's way back and not a known issue. If you have more than one index file in Classic, they get merged into one. RH2020 The Index (grainge.org) Clearly that has failed in your case.

Do you still have 2017 installed? If so open the 2017 project and check the index still looks correct. It should as the upgrade leaves your 2017 project untouched. Then try closing the project, deleting the CPD file and reopening it in 2017. That might clear things up. If in doubt, create a backup of your 2017 project first.

After that, upgrade to the new UI. I would try in 2022 but 2020 is OK if you have reasons to go for that version.

Is your 2017 project on a local drive and are you upgrading to a folder on your local drive? Depending on your network speed, it is now theoretically OK to have your project on a network but when problems arise, the first step is to go local.

Let us know how you get on.
