Index Problem, urgent!

I have a question about the Index page number of the word document generated from its corresponding robohelp.

Eg, the word XXX listed in robohelp index has three topics displayed below which indicate 3 topics have been linked to this index keyword (and 3 page numbers should be displayed in its word document? ). But when I generate the word document and look at the index, I found only one page number showed after the index keyword XXX. So what about the other two topics? Shoudn't there be three page numbers as well? I am puzzled

Hi Selina2012 and welcome to the RH forums.

Can I safely presume that you are producing Word output using the Printed Documentation single source layout in RoboHelp HTML? It certainly sounds like the case. It would also be useful if you can tell us what version of RoboHelp you are using.

I don't have a lot of knowledge of using Indexes in Word and whenever I have generated a Word file from my RoboHelp source I've never produced an index. However I would expect that if a keyword has three topics associated with a keyword that all three would be brought across into the Word file. Have you tried right clicking on the index in the Word file and updating it? If this doesn't work, I suspect you'll have to start looking into the field codes inside your word file to see what is going on.

Dear sir,

Thank you for your kind reply! The one I am using is actually Adobe RoboHelp 9. I tried what you said, but it does not work. Is there anyone who is more experienced in Robo Index?

Best regards,

Selina

Colum's point is are you working with RoboHelp for Word 9 or RoboHelp HTML 9?
