Index terms have spaces in RH7 and don't work

When clicking the Index icon in front of a multi-word title, RH now picks up the entire title instead of just the first word. And it puts a space between the words instead of the underscores from RH5. The links don't work unless they have underscores - you jump to the top of the document instead of the link location.

In RH5 by tabbing at the end of the typed index term RH inserted underscores...or when you clicked OK it inserted underscores. How do we do this in RH7? I have "use underscores in file names" checked but don't see an option for this. ?? THANK YOU!

Really? They 'broke this' with this version? That's sad. I will report it unless someone can tell me how to 'fix' it! :-(

That might be why I couldn't figure out what you were doing!

I don't think you can force it. You just have to remember to correct it. Pain I know. Please report it as a bug.

Peter, thanks for your interest.
1. Place cursor in front of a two-word heading in the topic "Baggage Files". Click the "insert bookmark" flag icon. The dialogue box comes up with a bookmark of Baggage Files (no underscores between the words).
2. Accept the term by clicking OK and the term is listed in the Topic listing under the topic name with no underscore.
3. Link to this bookmark and when you test the link you are taken to the top of the topic instead of to the bookmark.
4. Go back to the bookmark and force an underscore where the space between the two words are and reconnect to that link and it works.
???
How do I force underscores to appear in the bookmarks when I create them?

Sorry I used "index icon" in the question...I meant bookmark!!!

Can you describe the process exactly? Not sure I am following which icon you are clicking and what steps you are taking.
