Insert mini TOC in master page

Where do you insert the mini TOC in the master page in order for it to appear after the first line (which is the topic heading and uses the Heading 1 style) but above the rest of the body of the topic?

    @continuationcontinuation You may be aware but in case not, anything you put in the body of a master page only gets added in new topics, it does not get added to existing topics.

    I've been wanting to do this for 20 years or so. 😛

     

    As far as I know you can't. I haven't tried in RH2022, but I assume this hasn't changed (I don't remember seeing anything in the release notes).

     

    Instead I put it in a snippet , then insert the snippet in each topic. That way I can change the settings in the snippet and all the topics update automatically.
