Integrating an STE dictionary in RoboHelp 2017

Could anyone offer some tips or advice on using Simplified Technical English (STE) with RoboHelp 2017 please? I was wondering if we could modify the dictionary in RoboHelp to not recognise words that do not exist in the STE dictionary. This would be very helpful in getting authors to conform to the STE rules. If anyone knows of any third-party applications which might help, I'd much appreciate it.

Possibly, you can make a plugin for RoboHelp to use LanguageTool (https://languagetool.org/). If you can use LanguageTool, then you will also be able to use the TechScribe term checker for Simplified Technical English (www.simplified-english.co.uk).

A plugin for FrameMaker/LanguageTool integration was started, but not completed. The code is on https://github.com/danielnaber/languagetool-for-framemaker. Possibly, that will give you a starting point.

I'm not sure but a faint bell is ringing telling me Boeing were the originators of this and there is what looks like some useful information on their site.

As to RoboHelp, the Stop list would have to include every word that is not to be used. Practically that's impossible.

If anyone is working with simplified technical English, I hope they will step in.
