What's happening? Is this some kind of sophisticated mockery of the user?

Are you a new user? If so take a look at the About RoboHelp sample project assuming you are using 2020. It's RoboHelp Reimagined in 2019.

Exactly. Otherwise you would be publishing the same thing to two locations. If you only need the output on your PC you just generate. Then you can move it by other means such as zipping that and passing it on to developers. In other workflows you might want to publish straight to a server or some other location to which you cannot generate direct as passwords etc are needed.

Unless I am mistaken you are trying to generate and publish to the same folder.

So the Output Path and the Destination Path must be the two different paths?
