Is it possible to generate 2 different Microsoft HTML(CHM) from the same source at the same time?

I have a project that is already set with tags and such and I can general Interface1.chm with one set of parameters, and Interface2.chm by changing the parameters and output name manually.

I do this because the program that this CHM is for, has 2 separate interfaces for the same underlying engine and each interface is only available to specific sets of customers and would like to click one button to generate both instead of manually changing the build parameters just in case I make a mistake and generate Interface2.chm with the parameters for Interface1.

You haven't said which version of RoboHelp you are using. Please always start a thread with this information.

  • Please go to Help > About and include the full version number.
  • If you are using 2019 also state whether it is 2019 Classic or 2019 New UI.

In Classic you would duplicate the SSL, in the New UI you duplicate the preset. Then change the parameters to suit.

In Classic there is Batch Generate in the menu. In the new UI there is a Quick Generate top right, click that and select the two presets to generate.

Thanks! that worked perfectly...

After I duplicated the Output SSL I could easily do this with the batch generate.  this will save me some time and possibility of issues as I'm taking over this project from our prior author and since I'm the software developer, being able to optimize this is great.
