Question

Is there a way to link to a TOC section (not a topic) in a RoboHelp project?

I would like to add a link on our welcome page to a section (Troubleshooting, for example) in our TOC, so that clicking on the link shows the Troubleshooting section opened up in the left paneI. Is it possible to link to a section/folder in Robohelp, and not a topic?

Please use the photo icon to insert images within the post. Seeing an image inline with the text makes it easier for anyone answering or viewing the post.

There isn't a way but there is something close. On the Welcome (grainge.org) page there are links to sections. For some of them there were obvious topics but for others I needed the same as yourself.

The second link is to RoboHelp Topics. "Calling Context Sensitive Topics" was the first topic in the section. One option would have been to link the section to that topic. That would have opened that topic and expanded the section. However, I didn't want to point users to that topic, the aim was to show what was available in that section. Instead I created a summary topic and put that first in the section, then linked it to the section as well.

    Try that.
