Question

Is there a way to search for a specific topic in a large map file in RoboHelp 2020?

Our map file is large and scrolling through the file to find a specific topic and its map number is inefficient and time consuming. Is there a way to search for a specific topic in the map file?

I tried using the search field to the left of the map file list, but that doesn't locate the topic in the map file list.

    Try Reports > Map IDs.

I was looking for a way to find the topic in the map file itself for those instances when I need to change the map number for a topic. Am I correct that the only place you can edit a map number is in the map file?

What about checking the properties of the topic? I think the mapID is listed there.

You can only view the ID there. You can't edit it. I

True - but once you've identified it (through either way - report or properties), you could then sort the list and edit it in the map file.
