Isolate the Search Functionality

I’m currently using Robohelp Classic 2019. We are trying to avoid users getting multiple hits on search keywords, when they may only need to be looking at information as it pertains to one of the child projects and future plans of expanding to several other child projects. Is there a way to configure it, where it will isolate the search functionality to search in only a specific child project. Is it possible to do this without having to use the merge functionality? Thank you in advance.

Dynamic filters would be the built-in way to do this (assuming a merged setup or a single large project). There should be good information on Peter's site and maybe in the sample projects. The tl;dr is you set up a conditional tag for each project and apply to every topic in that project. You don't exclude these conditional tags from your build. Instead you define them in the dynamic filter and the user can then select one or more, depending on how you set it up, in the output.

Hold up. Child projects are part of a merged setup and the normal search is across the parent and all the children. Otherwise you just have a number of projects and each one will only search its own content.

If you are using merged functionality with Classic, see Zoomsearch 7 in RoboHelp (grainge.org).

Zoomsearch is now on a later version but the method remains. You would have a page with links to different searches that each cover just one child and you can have a link to a search for the whole merge.

That will be give you what you want but I don't think I would recommend it as at some point you are going to upgrade to the new UI. I haven't written up a method there and it may be possible to use Zoomsearch there but I think it will be much more difficult.
