Question

javascript exception error

Hi,

I'm using RH11, Webhelp 11.01.235...

I receive a very vague "javascript alert" error when switching between content categories while viewing in Chrome v37.0.  Selecting OK to this message clears it and then I can view my docs okay.

I'm also using Zoom search, and frankly, can't remove it from my project due to the number of files to test.  But, this error does not occur when clicking through the toolbar (content, index, print)

Anyone else have this issue?  I really need to fix it..........

thanks!

I am getting the same notification when I view the Webhelp in Chrome.

Am using RoboHelp version 10.0.1.292.

For RH10, make sure to install the browser compatibility hotfixes. See RoboHelp Patches and Updates for an overview of available fixes.

Has that been solved on RH 11.0.3?

I believe it has. I haven't seen this issue since I upgraded to 11.0.3.

Kind regards,

After 11.0.3 was released, I emailed Adobe to confirm this was fixed and haven't received a response.

I haven't been able to reproduce this error since upgrading to 11.0.3....

Is it only happening when using Chrome or does it occur with other browsers?

So what is the error message?

Kind regards,

Yes, it only happens on Chrome

And the very helpful and descriptive message is:

JavaScript Alert

Exception:  reply for which no request exist

The only option on the message is "OK".

Again, it only happens, so far, when switching between content categories (I have three). After hitting OK the doc displays correctly.

This message can be reproduced by at least one other person, too.
