Linked Word docs with Tables

Question

I am using RH2020. We link to source documents that are in Word. These documents sometimes contain tables. Typically, these do not work well when linked in RH. Are there settings I can change, perhaps in my css that will allow me to use linked documents with tables and have the tables pull into RH correctly?

It depends on what you mean by "do not work well". 🙂

If it's just colours and fonts etc then try mapping the word table style to the required table style in Robohelp. You should be able to access these settings by right-clicking on the linked document and selecting Edit Settings.

If it's table layout that's a problem, are the tables complex and include lots of merged cells and things? In this case you might have to try simplifying the layout in the Word document.
