Linking to browse sequences within topics

Hi all,

when a browse sequence has been defined, is it possible to use the "next" and "back" buttons from within topics? In webhelp I could imagine that it is possible to copy the JS functions from the buttons in the navigation pane tool bar and drop them into the topic/masterpage (e.g. in the footer). Has anybody done this before?

Is there any possibility for this in MS HTML Help, perhaps via HTML help controls?

Robert

Hi Robert

The only way I can fathom that working would be to manually add buttons or links of some sort that allow traversing the topics.

Another thought would be to generate WebHelp that isn't skinned. Then perhaps copy the WebHelp generated topic files into the project. But that would certainly muck things up a lot with all the assorted WebHelp code that comes along. If I tried that, I'd certainly ensure I had a decent backup!

Cheers... Rick

Hi Rick,

that is a good idea! If I remember correctly the original Webhelp

(without skin) had buttons right in the topic. Meaby I can fiddle the

code to work in a masterpage.

If it works I'll give a report, but it won't be until end of the week.

Robert
