Local copy different from server copy

Hi,
Working on RH 7.02.01 with RSC 3.2.0.
RSC is on a Windows NT v5.2 32 bit server (virtual).
When I open any project in RSC, the bulk of the project apepars with the light yellow shading around it and the tip text 'Light yellow shading indicates that your local copy of this file is different to the server copy."
1) This message appears all the time, even if I both copies (local and RSC) should be identical. Is this as designed?
2) What is RSC looking at to do the file compare at this level?
I don't see how the files can be different. Should I be concerned about this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

I see this sometimes, too, and I'll be darned if I can see what's different. Every so often I'll do a spot check and compare files, just to make sure I'm not missing something. I wouldn't be too concerned about this, but it's probably a good idea to check every now and again to make sure that the files really are the same. If you get the history for a file, you can easily compare two versions using the file compare.
