Looking for Templates or Practice Files

Hi RoboHelp Community,

When I researched RoboHelp a short while ago, I stumbled across a training video that included a practice file. I just can't seem to find that video now or the practice file. Does this sound familiar to anyone?? Or, is anyone willing to part with a file/template I can use (I started the 30-day trial yesterday)?

The training videos I'm finding now all seem to be geared towards marketing the new features/functions (which are amazing . . . don't get me wrong!), but I need a little i+1 help to hit the ground running with a current project!

I greatly appreciate all you do. Thanks in advance!!!

Tammy (TK Anderson)

For anyone coming after me, this was the correct answer (copied below).

You will find copies in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe RoboHelp 2020\resources\data\template\projects but don't try to run them from there. Copy them to a folder outside of Program Files. Put them in Documents > My RoboHelp Projects for example.

Ok, that's the latest patch 4 version. You should find the "factory" copies of the samples in c:\Program Files\ - but I'm not seeing them there either on a copy of RH2020. Not sure where they're hiding now...but you could always re-run the installer to get them back.
Found them! Made the mistake of looking for "sample" instead of "projects"

    Hi Peter,

Unfortunately, I think I might have overwritten the About RoboHelp and/or Compass Travel files. Can you provide them for me or point me where I can find them?

    Thanks in advance!

    Tammy

The About RoboHelp sample project covers how to use the features. Compass Travel is more about demoing them.

Oh, and make sure you're running the 4th patch version - there was a bug in the initial release of RH2020.0 that didn't think there were updates available via Help > Updates. Post back if that's the case.

There should be sample projects in your My Documents > My Robohelp Projects folder for you to play with. The "factory" versions are in your Program Files - Robohelp folder to copy from if you want to restore them after playing.

    Hi Jeff,

Thanks for your help!!! I'm fairly certain I overwrote it by importing a template designed in a much older version. Bummer!!! Also, where can I find those to restore? I poked all around my program files RoboHelp folder and don't see it anywhere.

I installed the trial yesterday and this is my build -> Version 2020.4.173.

    Thanks!
