Question

Mapping cross-ref styles works on one computer, fails on another

We convert all cross-ref types to <$paratext> which works fine on my own computer. But on another computer with the full TCS2 installed, Robohelp simply ignores any mapping of cross-ref styles that I enter. I even tested it with the same project that works on my own computer - nothing happens and after importing/updating we always end up with the same cross-ref styles as in the original FM document (i.e., with page numbers etc.).

Can there be an installation problem that causes this?

That's pretty bizarre - so when you change the mapping from to <$paratext> it still ignores it? Do you see the sample text change format when you map it from "cross-ref on page" xx to just "cross-ref"?

Are you all patched up on both the FM & RH sides (I think p255 for FM & 8.0.2 for RH)?

Yes that's exactly the case. I change Source to <$paratext> and on my computer it works perfectly - I receive a neat hyperlink to the topic title. But on the other computer whatever I write into the field is ignored, not only for a specific cross-ref style for for all styles. It seems that RH competely skips the step in which the cross-ref styles are mapped.

Before recommending the reinstallation of the entire TCS2 I wanted to ask whether this might be a known issue.

Is this in the same set of files?

If so, could it be a permission problem?
