Hi, I get this message when creating a PDF in RoboHelp Version 2022.4.179.

"Failed to generate PDF. Check log for more details."

Where can I find the log file?

Anyone having the same issue?

Hi everyone,

I solved the problem.

There was an Environment Variable called _JAVA_OPTIONS that set the Java Heap Space (xmx) to 256 MB.

I deleted that and now it works fine.

I hope this will help other users with the same issue.

I will try to have the same working Java version installed on both pc's and hope this will solve the problem.

Sorry Jeff,

I am on another pc now. That is the JRE that is installed here.

I tried to create the PDF, and it worked!

At home I have the 1.8.0_421. Could that be the problem?

Found the log. Right click on the Output preset PDF.

The log says "Error during image decoding: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space"

- I already downloaded the latest Java 64 bit version, but the error still exists.

- Then I downscaled the images in the manual to about document resolution, but no results.

- I googled for the error message but that results in multiple solutions that go beyond my programming skills.

Any suggestions to simply fix the problem?
