Question

Migrating Projects from PC to Mac

We currently have PCs on our team and collaboratively use RoboHelp with the SharePoint connection. If we were to move to Macs, would continuing with the same projects in RoboHelp be as simple as installing the OS version of RoboHelp and reconnecting/downloading the SharePoint connection? Or are there other considerations when transitiong from PC to Mac with RoboHelp? Thank you in advance!

I'm not a Mac user but I seem to remember some path might be a problem. I *think* you will need to set the output path to a relative path, as the Windows absolute path won't work on a Mac. I don't think you need to do it before you switch, but just keep in mind it's something to check

It is M1 and M2 that are not yet supported.

My site will not help on this one.

Yes you can open a project on either OS. However, beware of your version of the Mac OS. I know there are issues with later versions. There was post recently about that. If you cannot find it or it doesn't help, check with Adobe Support. See https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/enterprise-support.other.html#robohelp for your Adobe Support options. The email link tcssup@adobe.com is recommended as it reaches a team dedicated to Technical Communication Suite products including RoboHelp.

Never really heard of anyone doing that, but I think the system is designed so that the RH2022 projects are O/S agnostic - there might be a conversion routine (but I'm not sure). Have you checked Peter's site (grainge.org) for any Mac info?
