output not pointing to the index page when viewed

I have done and HTMl5 output and have the index page entered and defualt page as shown but when I view the output it is not going to the defualt page.

Few things going on here - are you trying to view the output locally? Because you picked SharePoint output, so that would create .aspx pages I think, not .htm. I don't think your default topic should be same as the Start page.

@Jeff_Coatsworth They definitely should not be the same. The default page is a topic that the user has created. The index page is a container for the default topic and navigation. Also the start page should be index.htm, not as shown.
