PDF - how to get cover page image full width

Hi Folks,

Using RH 2019.

The oover page of my user guide has a hero graphic which is meant to display across the full width of the page.

When I create the PDF, the image apppears but has the same border settings as the rest of the doc.

I suspect I have to change some settings in the Master Page. Not sure what. Should I create a new master page for the cover page?

PS - I've tried changing the image settings, eg remove padding etc, with no success.

Any suggestions on how to do this?

Well, if you find a good solution, let me know. I have a banner in my cover's footer which is supposed to go from left to right, no margin. I can move it around in my Page Layout, but I cannot get it to be wider than the margins from the rest of the page. The margins of the page, again, I cannot make any wider as there seems to be an internal RH bug - code to this end does not have any effect. I could only change the margins for my entire PDF document, which is not what I'm trying to do.

I have now created a different banner which is only displayed on the right side of the page. I moved it to the right spot using a large margin-left, and the preview looks good. But once I publish it, there is a ~2mm white gap between banner and right end of the page, which is driving me crazy 😄

So, as I said - if you find a good solution, I'm all ears.

    Cheers

    Carolin

Hi, I haven't found how to do this in RH, which may reflect my limitations with CSS.

The only workaround I found was to use Adobe Acrobat Pro to re-position the image.

Oh, that's actually a good workaround, thank you! I'm not sure why I haven't thought of that yet. Of course, a proper solution would be better, but I take what I can get 😉
