Question

Preserving JPG resolution when importing Framemaker files

Using Rohohelp HTML 10 on win 7

Even though I set project settings to "do not regenerate images", when i import a Framemaker file (.fm), the images are regenerated to the FM anchored frame dimension (FM "object properties" scaling). This makes the RH imported image poor quality.

How do I preserve the original jpg image?  I would manually replace the images (copy and replace) from framemaker to the new RH project except it's a multi chapter framemaker book and i only want one chapter images (which means hunt and peck for the images).

Here's what i did:

  1. RH file>project settings> import tab> "edit conversion settings for framemaker documents"
  2. Selected "Image" and checked "do not regenerate images" left rest default settings
  3. Import Frame document>"edit conversion settings for framemaker documents" and checked "do not regenerate images".

I think my question got missed since Peter G. was only moving it from the robohelp html forum, not providing an answer. I am having a problem preserving JPG resolution when importing Framemaker files into Robohelp.

Depends on what resolution you’re bringing them into FM and how (pasting? Import by reference?)

There’s a few blog posts on the Adobe Tech Comm blog about graphics
