Problem adding Cover Sheet when publishing to Word

Using RH 10 on win 7

I want a special cover sheet when publishing to Word doc. The cover sheet only contains a special header and footer i want applied to the doc.

Here's what i did:

  1. Output format has "generate word docx" checked
  2. in the "Section Layout", i added a word doc (docx) at the top followed by "chapter layout"

The generated doc starts with a blank page that only contains a section break. deleting the section break has no effect.

What can i do to add the cover sheet that includes its header and footer?

Headers and footers are simply not supported at present. The only way is to add the cover page in Word after generating your output. (Insert > File)

Thank you for the answer, although i am sorry about the limitation. Another option I can use then is to select all and paste it into the cover sheet. I hate having to use manual intervention when publishing from robohelp.
