Problems in HTLM view--RoboHelp 9

In HTML view (RoboHelp 9) extra spaces are appearing between words in the code.  This does not affect the regular text, only the code.  Any suggestions to get rid of the extra spaces?

In HTML View you have either changed the font or the percentage view. Restore the font to Courier and the view to 100% and it will be OK.

I believe Lucida also works OK if you want a san serif font.

Are the spaces appearing between words or between tags, like between paragraph tags or <li> tags. You said it doesn't affect the regular text, and that makes me think that the extra spaces are not really between the words but are in between tags. Can you provide an example?
