Publishing to Word and PDF

Help.

I'm working in RH 2022 and I'm unable to publish to Word and PDF formats.  I have the buttons but when I try to publish I receive an error message.  I had this functionality in RH 2019 and when I updated to RH 2022 the functionality is not working.  Any suggestions as to how to get this functionality working?

Thanks

It's a problem with one more of the topics.

It seems to be time for the old divide and conquer approach.

In the new UI the output is controlled by what is in the TOC so create two copies of your TOC and delete different halves. One should work and one should fail.

Assuming one half only failed, create a copy of it and again delete different halves. By repeating that you should narrow things down to the topic(s) that are giving grief.

If both fail, you need to create smaller and smaller sections.

Let us know how you get on.

"...but when I try to publish I receive an error message." - what message are you getting? That might help us narrow down the issue.

    It says, "Failed to generate."

Could a failure be because there is an error in the HTML?

Did you try what I suggested?

Is this what you mean by Buttons?

Try clicking the + icon and creating a second Word preset. See if that works first.

    2019 Classic or new UI?

    Buttons? Where?

See the RoboHelp Tour on my site which covers both outputs. Let us know how you get on and I will look back in the morning.
