RH 2020: PDF Output contains single blank page

When attempting to generate a PDF output of my project, the resulting output is a PDF with one single blank page. I am able to generate a PDF of the sample project. 

I reviewed this thread (https://community.adobe.com/t5/robohelp-discussions/rh2020-generating-blank-pdf/m-p/12120716) and was unable to locate any of the syntax described there. 

 

The project is a native RH2020 project and was not converted or upgraded. 

 

I am able to save individual topics as PDFs.

    Can you share the project? If you can, then see the Contact page on my site and send the project as instructed there. Do make sure you include a link to this thread and please do not email the project direct.

     

    As to other systems, don't jump too quickly. Wait until you have seen the cost of some and the quality of others.

    Search this forum for EONENT and maybe Google. It has been covered before. Beyone that, I suggest for this one you need to go to Adobe Support. See https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/enterprise-support.other.html#robohelp for your Adobe Support options. The email link tcssup@adobe.com is recommended as it reaches a team dedicated to Technical Communication Suite products including RoboHelp.

    I've sent TCSSUP an email and hopefully will hear back. The last time I tried emailing them, I waited over a week for them to reply. In fact, you had to prod one of your connections there in order for me to get a response. 

    I tried calling Adobe support this morning. After they took down my email address, their phone system disconnected me from the support specialist, and I was placed back on hold for over 30 minutes. I called back and never got through to anyone. I received a phone call back from the support number but when I answered they hung up before I could say 'hello.'

    I can't help but be tickled by the fact that the software Adobe created for technical writers has almost no dedicated help content of its own and relies almost entirely on third-party and crowdsourced troubleshooting. 

    I'm sorry if my tone is off-putting. You are truly an indespensible resource for RH users, Peter. Thank you as always for your help. However, Adobe's repeated failures to support its users is making me consider taking my help system authoring needs elsewhere.

    Yeah, I wouldn't bother calling Adobe Support - they're not pros on the TCS suite products. Email is the way.

    When you say I am able to save individual topics as PDFs do you mean using the Save As PDF functionality rather than creating a PDF using the preset to create one topic? If so, that may work in a different way.

     

    Time for the old divide and conquer approach.

    1. In the new UI the output is controlled by what is in the TOC so create two copies of your TOC and delete half the topics from one and delete the other half from the other copy. One should work and one should fail. 
    2. Assuming one half only failed, create a copy of it and again delete different halves. By repeating that you should narrow things down to the topic(s) that are giving grief.
    3. If both failed, you need to create smaller and smaller sections.

    I halved the TOC until there was one topic remaining and it still produces a single blank page.

    I have also tried generating a Word doc output and get the following error:

     

    Error: ENOENT: no such file or directory, lstat 'C:\Users\agertz\AppData\Local\Temp\RHTMP\WordMHYNNw\CHSCI-User.docx'

    I am beginning to lose my patience with RoboHelp.
