RH 2026: FM import of a toc supress / (slash) in all headings

A current project describes a product whose name contains a slash (not our decision, but that’s how it is). The name appears quite frequently in the FrameMaker TOC. When importing or linking to RH 2026, a TOC is generated where all slashes disappear from the headings. They can’t be manually reinserted in RoboHelp either.
Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a workaround?

Missing slashes are marked

What happens if you use an escape character first before the slash? (forward or back? your post doesn’t say)

Jeff, your question gave me an idea that solves the problem for now. For program names defined via variables, I can replace the forward slash with a backslash. It then appears as a forward slash in the text, in the table of contents, in the RoboHelp table of contents, and in the bookmarks.
This isn’t a solution for using forward slashes in headings; we’ll add a note to the style guide stating that this isn’t possible.

Thanks, Peter, imported or linked TOCs cannot be edited in RH.
I did not know how to control the formatting from FM.

I’m not a FrameMaker user so I don’t know how the TOC gets into RoboHelp. Does it appear as standard TOC? If it does, it seems you can add a slash here. Maybe that’s not the issue.

My site www.grainge.org includes many free Authoring and RoboHelp resources that may be of help.
