RH2019 Classic crashes during CHM generation

Help!

I have been editing my project and compiling every so often today. Then for no apparent reason, RH has started crashing at a certain point when I attempt to generate HTML output. The files it stops at is one I've been editing so clearly something has happened. How can I investigate? What should I be looking for? All I've done is add some text, links and table rows to the topic.

Webhelp compiles fine.

Using RH 2019 Classic v14.0.5.

Thanks so much Peter. Brilliant idea to tag out the topics. Turned out it was that last file in the list.

Is it asking for trouble to say I quite enjoyed that little detective session

You'll be fine. It's when RoboHelp senses the you hate it that the trouble

starts. ☺️

Usually it's the file after the one you see that is the issue. Makes

tracking it down more fun!

Copy the files you suspect to somewhere outside the project. Then one topic

at a time, delete half the content and generate. If it still stops, that

section is not the cause. Replace that topic with a copy from where you

saved and trash the other half.

Repeat until you find the rogue topic. Then it's a case of deleting smaller

bits.

Alternatively tag out topics from the build until you find the rogue topic.
