Rh2020.5.71 Master Page and updating a Master Page

I am using a Master Page in my project.  If I make a change to the Master Page, how can I update my created topics with the update?  It is not automatically updating.

    The body of the master page is effectively just a starter when you create a new topic. Subsequent changes never have affected topic content.

     

    Headers and footers on the other hand do change when you preview or generate.
