RH2020 Keeping the images on the output page of an upgraded project

I upgraded a project from RH2017 to RH 2020.3.32.

Now, in my word output, some of the images extend off the page. Before, in 2017, all images stayed in the margins.  Is there a default setting to make sure the images stay on the page? Is there a Max Image dimension setting?

Thank you

The issue here proved to be that in Classic width and height settings had been applied to the images. In a Word output generated from Classic, if the width exceeded the page width the image was shrunk to fit. That does not happen in the new UI and whatever dimensions are applied will be used in Word.

Adobe will fix this in an update but meantime the solution is to not apply any dimensions if that is an option. Without any dimensions the image will fit the width both online and in Word. PDF has a Use Image Compression to Optimise Size setting.

The quickest way to remove the size settings is to click the Restore to Default icon that will appear in Properties when you select the image.

Create a new project with one topic that has an image that will bleed off the edge in Word. Set up a preset to prove it does.

See the Contact page on my site and send the project as instructed there. Do make sure you include a link to this thread and please do not email the project direct.

I will see if I can come up with anything but I am very doubtful I can.

I guess my probelm is that the images were on the page in my RH2017 project and now they are running off the page in RH2020. I have hundreds of legacy images over hundreds of topics that I'm hoping I don't have to individually adjust.

I didn't always find they stayed within the margin and generally set a max width of about 8 inches for images. If I really needed a larger one online, then I would use two images and tag them.

There is no maximum image setting.
