Rh2020 - printed output margins distorted and page numbers not showing up

Hi,

I am generating a printed/word output of a frameless online help developed in RH 2020. I am supplying a proper word template and RH is accepting it without errors.

However, when I generate an output the margins are not showing up equal. The left pages are showing to extreme left and right pages to the extreme right. Also the footer is not showing up at all.

Any idea what is missing?

So the issue is not really fixed, you have just confirmed that a template that worked in Update 5 no longer works in Update 6.

Please report this as a bug and attach the template to the bug report. Adobe can then look at it.

Please follow this link to report bugs or request new features. https://tracker.adobe.com. Post the link to your bug report / feature request in this thread and others can vote for it. The more people who do so, the higher it gets prioritised.

Right. The template that worked pre update 6 seamlessly doesn't work after update 6. Let me log a bug and will post the link here.

Do you not need the template then?

Ideally, yes. If we used the template per the pre update 6 days, the formatting, margins, everything was working fine.

I'm getting confused here.

Headers and footers are OK other than minor formatting issues.

The margins are OK without the template but presumably you want to use the template?

Yes, when we clear the word template the margin spacing is fixed. It appears fine.

Footer appears whatever is defined in the master page.

But unordered bulleted list is appearing disrupted for some reason. Eventhough the master page is referring to the correct css.

I'm suspecting a bug here. I will come back when I hear from Adobe.

I said I suspect as I hadn't had a chance to look. Adobe have since advised me that the margins are in fact still controlled by your template. Were they working before Update 6?

Yes, before update 6 the margins were picked from the template perfectly. Only after update 6 it is not picking from the template.

Ok, I just tried and looks like it is working. Not sure if it is correct but the margins issue got fixed.

Under Word > Word Template I just cleared the template that I was associating.

And Under Master Pages, I created a new master page with the footer defined. That worked.

But there are minor formatting issues that maybe something to do with our css.

With Update 6 applied headers and footers are taken from the master pages only. I suspect that also applies to margins.

Oh ok, and how do we manage margins from the master page?

I tried changing my word template. When generating the word output from the word preset, I don't select the master page. I just select the word template under the Word > Word Template section.

However, the same observation. The footer shows up blank and margins on the left show extra indent and margins on the right are extreme right. The word output used to show up correctly until a few days back. The margins perfectly aligned and the footer exactly per the word template that is selected.

Is this some new issue that anyone knows?
