RH2020 v7.46 Responsive HTML5 output failed to generate an index.htm file

Output generation failed to produce this file even though I had it noted in the start file space in properties. When I tried to deploy the full output to an Azure static site it failed to deploy (404 error) even though all of the individual page htm files looked good. I just revved up to this version and this is the first time I have generated an output. I usually look at the index.htm file to verify all of the pages are working correctly in the output. Any ideas or known issues? I didn't see this issue posted at all.
Thanks!

I figured out what the problem was - I had renamed a skin, made some changes to it and then applied it. Somewhere in that process that skin became corrupted or an essential element got deleted. I applied a different skin template and sucessfully generated an output including the index.htm file. I then duplicated, renamed and modified one of the standard skins to replicate the loook I needed. I saved and applied that before generating the output with the new skin. All of the links worked including the full context link. I was then able to successfully deploy the content to an Azure static site.

Try creating a brand new Preset & generate it to a folder on your C:\ drive with a short path with no spaces or other characters in it. If that works, then have a look at your output path.

Are you generating to your local hard drive or to a network drive? Is the output only broken after you publish to the web server or when you open the help from the directory you generate to? Are there any errors in the log file when the generation process finishes?

I'm generating to my local drive to an output folder outside the Rh folder. (Screenshots showing prop 1-2 & output folder)

Viewing the log shows no errors

In Rh 2019 version there was an index.htm file that I could click on that would then display the full content, allowing me to navigate through the full content with the expected side menu.

Clicking on each of the htm pages in the output folder shows the individual page content correctly, except if I click on any of the "see page in full context" links they result in a page not found error (screenshots full context link 1-2).
