RH2020 while compiling a msgbox appear for progress. What's is happening when 'patching'?

Hello, just wondering if compilation will be possibily faster under certain circumstances.

what happens when RH is 'patching' during compilation?

I suspect removing not existing links or something like that. Which is possible in my case, as they have to be corrected.

I'm just wondering if compilation will be skipping that patching once links are in order.

best regards

Olivier

    Correct answer Amebr

'Patching' in this case is not talking about fixing problems. It's more like a developer synonym for 'processing'

It's doing all sorts of things. Essentially output files are not the same as source files, patching is applying the changes.
