RH7 TOC books don't open in Firefox

I just upgraded from RoboHelp 6 to 7. The first thing I did after the upgrade was to generate my Webhelp project. I wanted to check that the output was acceptable. In Mozilla and IE, the output is fine. When the help opens, the book containing my default topic is open in the TOC and all the other books open and close when I click them.

But in the Firefox, all the TOC books are closed when the help first opens. None of the books will open until I click the book containing my default topic. After I open that book, the others open as they should.

I don't have this problem with the help I generated this morning before I upgraded.

Any ideas as to what's causing this?

    Same here. Can you please zip up the project I sent you with your output still in it and email it back?

    Have you got a spare machine on which you can install RH7 (don't activate it) and a fresh download of Firefox? A machine that has not seen either program before.

    I am going to generate again when I get the project back and then send the project to Adobe for investigation.

    I need you to confirm that you are working locally and not on a network.

    Sorry to butt in, but I finally found some time to return to this toc autosync problem last night, and it's possible that my results might help.
    Peter, I took up your suggestion to return the js files to their orginal status, but this made no difference - as was Ejung's experience. I checked the date of the orginal js files I was using and they matched the other files in the folder. So I'm sure I was using the correct unmodified js files. Through pure frustration I uninstalled and re-installed RoboHelp and then installed the update. Surprise - it now works. So there must have been a file (or files) that I had changed or had not been replaced by the update.
    I have done a lot of testing and everything works correctly in Internet Explorer, but there are two small problems still with Firefox:
    1) When using the Index or Search to select a topic, that topic is not hightlighted when you return to the toc. The appropriate book is open, it's just the hightlighting that's missing.
    2) The eternal loading problem is still there. However, the modification to whnjs.htm (see: 'Browser Issues' on Peter Grainge's website) takes care of this problem.

    I don't want to preach to the converted, but just a reminder to anyone who might want to try a re-install: when you uninstall not all of the RoboHelp files in the Program Files > Adobe > Adobe RoboHelp 7 folder will be removed - these will have to be manually removed before the re-install. Don't forget to backup any template files, etc. before uninstalling RoboHelp.

    Forget the screenshots assuming you didn't change any of the settings in the project I sent you.

    Just confirm the version of RH and Firefox.

    Sorry for the confusion. Yes, your demo project works. After I generate it with my application, it stops working. So it is my RH that is acting out. :P

    I thought you meant my demo did not work. Are you saying my demo works OK but the same files do work not when you generate the output?

    If it was a Firefox addin problem, then I shouldn't be able to see the TOC autosyn work with your demo project, right? I am using the latest version of Firefox: 2.0.0.12.

    Maybe it's a Firefox addin causing it. Someone had a problem that went away when an addin that checked the HTML was in use. In other words, that problem proved to be Firefox.

    I have some addins but maybe you have a different one that is causing it. Are you on the latest Firefox? Can you try it on a machine with a clean install of Firefox, no addins?

    Thanks, Peter. It still does not work on my machine. However, I've asked my colleague to run this test using her machine (she hasn't tweaked any of her application files). Last option is to reinstall RH7 and then applying the update.

    I'll email you a link to download a project. Check the output first in the SSL folder. Assuming it works as it does on my system, create a duplicate of the webhelp layout and create a new output to a different folder. See if it still works when you generate.

    I added a browse sequence and that too is now working perfectly. I wonder if you still have that manual tweak in the system and whether that is interfering?

    I also updated RoboHelp, undid the manual tweak to whnjs.htm and still have the TOC autosync problem. The only other tweak that I've made is to whthost.js but that is on the output folder (so it shouldn't matter).
