RH8 Map IDs to bookmarks do not display in Edit Map IDs dialog

Map IDs assigned to bookmarks do not appear in the Edit Map IDs dialog box. Even though they were assigned using the Edit Map IDs dialog box, when Rh8 is closed and reopened, they disappear. They are still in the .ali file, but they don't appear in the dialog list. Any ideas?
