RHCL in RH9 not working

I changed from RH 8 to RH 9. I can open my "old" projects. Everything is fine.

Now I tried my old batch file which generates WebHelp and creates a zip of everything at the end. I checked and changed the paths in the batch file. When I start the batch file an error message appears: Invalid project for RHCL. Recreate the project with RoboHelp. (translated from German)

What does this message mean? All paths and names are ok.

I suggested that this only happens with "old" projects. Then I created a new project with RH 9 and I created a new batch file. At the end I have the same result.

Regards

Danny

You may not be aware that Vikram is an Adobe employee. It would not be in his or Adobe's interests to compromise your IP.

When testing other new functions of RH 9 I got error messages about missing MSXML. So we downloaded and installed it and surprise ... RHCL is working now !!!

So the problem was: MSXML was missing.

It would be great, if an error message could be added to RH which gives a hint that MSXML is missing.

    Hello DannyH,

    Welcome to Adobe Robohelp Forums.

    1) Can you generate output using RHCL for a test or a new project in Robohelp 9?

    2) You mentioned that you are using a batch file, did you tried only a single command : rhcl [project path] [-l] [layout name]

    Complete document : http://help.adobe.com/en_US/robohelp/robohtml/WS5b3ccc516d4fbf351e63e3d11aff59c2a0-7fe3.html

Also if possible upload some screenshots, also you can contact us on tcssup@adobe.com

    Thanks,

    Vikram

    Hi Vikram,

I cannot generate anything with RHCL. No old project, no new project, not by using bat file and not by command line. It is always the same.

The same bat worked with RH 8. With RH 9 everything is the same, except the installation path of RH and this is already changed in the bat file. In the bat file I call the program with this line:

    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe RoboHelp 9\RoboHTML\RHCL.exe" "C:\mypath\name-DE.xpj" -o "C:\mypath\onlinehelpdir\de" -l "WebHelp XYZ"

Is it possible that the operating system plays a role? RH 8 was installed on Windows XP and now I have RH 9 on Windows 7 now. RH 9 is installed in the "Program Files (x86)" directory. But that should not be the problem, RHCL is started but it seems that it does not accept the project.

The only WebHelp generation that works is directly from RoboHelp HTML.

My screenshots would be in German. What detail is interesting for you?

    Regards

    Danny
