I work for the State of North Carolina and my director asked of me "do we have to run Robo Help with Tom Cat server or can it run with a Microsoft server?  I have just started in the world of Robo Help 10.  I know we use webhelp pro to publish and i know that we use Robo Help server 9 on a Tom Cat server.  I have no clue.  I have read a few of the blogs but it does not make any sense.  I can go ask or IT guy but i am looking for a second opinion.  As i under stand it the Tom Cat server uses Lynx or Unix and they want to shift it to a Microsoft server if they can.  So can Robo Help run on a Microsoft server?

Hi, jean6463 and welcome to the forums.

It sounds like you are publishing WebHelp Pro to the RoboHelp Server 9 which does indeed use the the Tomcat Server. Presently,Tomcat server required. However, there is a way to set up Tomcat Server on a server running a Windows-based Internet Information Services (IIS) server. This can be configured using a plugin that is described on this page of the documentation. Scroll down and locate this sub-heading:

Install and configure Microsoft IIS with Tomcat

Your IT folks should take a look at this page to see the various options.

Also, be sure to have them install the latest update to RoboHelp Server 9. That can be found here:

RoboHelp Server Update 9.0.1 is here ! – TechComm Central by Adobe
