Question

Robohelp 1 anyone? I found version 3 today.

Hi all, there is no offtopic-section so I'l just post this here. Today we searched through our really old office equipment. Among the oldest software I found were Framemaker 4 and Robohelp 3, including the untouched documentation (thick as phonebooks).

I wonder, does anybody still have the first version? Does "Robohelp 1" even exist or what was the name back then?

Robert

When Rick Stone and the USA wake up, I dare say he will have more detail. The first iteration of RoboHelp was a Word addin developed by a guy called Gen Kiyooka in the US.

He attended the WritersUA conference a few years back.

Had to smile at the fact that the documentation was unused.

The answer is obvious Peter. The product is so intuitive that you don't need it

I have a trial disc from the Blue Sky Software days but it has been used as a drinks coaster for years. I did try and see if it still worked some years ago but years of hot coffee abuse has rendered it impotent.

    What is the documentation like?

Actually I just saw that the really thick books are from the later versions. That is RH 5 or so in the background. The RH 3 box is at front ("The ultimate Help authoring tool"). It contains a coupon for a Blue Skys t-shirt, I wonder if I should try to redeem it
