RoboHelp 2015/2017/2019 downloads missing and needed for older RoboHelp project upgrade

I have several RoboHelp 7 projects (I know, so old!) that I am looking to upgrade to RoboHelp 2022.

This page says to upgrade the project to RoboHelp 2015, 2017, or 2019 first.

But the referenced download page (here) doesn't contain those RoboHelp versions. Where can I download RoboHelp 2015, 2017, or 2019 so I can upgrade my projects properly? As you probably know, they don't import correctly when I attempt it in RoboHelp 2022.

Thanks for your help!

Update: I received RoboHelp 2015, 2017, and 2019 trial versions to do a progressive upgrade of my files, and got them working in 2022. The critical part that was broken previously: empty TOC and indexes. Those are included now in my 2022 project files. Still some work to do with fixing conditional tags that didn't come through, but overall, super happy to see these files working. Thanks to everyone who helped here!

So far it hasn't been going as smoothly as I had hoped. As an alternate idea, I thought I could import the HHC, HHP, HHK, and HTML files used to create CHMs, but that option doesn't seem to be available either.

I am not at all surprised. It's a bit like dropping a modern engine into a 50 year old car and expecting it to run nicely. 🙂 The new versions don't understand those old file types when reading. Upgrade a Classic project is the only solution.

All I am saying about getting 2019 Classic is Adobe might issue a copy but it will have a limited life, probably 30 days. So you will need to upgrade all in one go. I am expecting there will still be issues but hoping I am wrong.

If you haven't finished all your upgrades, I suspect those versions have a thirty day life.

Glad you've got the show on the road,

No, I meant inside your Adobe ID account - not from a public location.

You can keep old versions and reinstall them. You can only download what is on the link above. Can't download anything from your account.

If sending it to me is an issue, I have since recalled that I think Support gave a temporary licence to someone to upgrade. However, the issues will be for you to resolve whereas I will try to suggest solutions.

Didn't they use to automatically include access to a copy of RH2019 Classic & New UI? Or has that disappeared over time?

Sorry you said they don't upgrade. That's likely because of skipping Rh 8.

Can you share the project? I can try via Rh2019. If you can, then see the Contact page on my site and send the project as instructed there. Do make sure you include a link to this thread and please do not email the project direct.

Thanks, that would be awesome. I'll ask my manager to make sure it's okay to share the projects. Thanks again for the offer to help try RH2019!

Sorry but you can't get them. I doubt it will upgrade cleanly but the process leaves your old project untouched so the upgrade will do no harm. Try it and post back.

If it doesn't work, we can try other things.
