Good morning all,

I am reaching out because I have researched and tried to figure out how to fix this issue for days now and cannot find any solutions. We are still using Adobe Robohelp 2017 and when we set up the version control for sharepoint , all works but when closing the project and re-opening it , it reverts to the previous sharepoint connection url?!?!?!?

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide before I go crazy.

Christele

Hmm, okay, I'm not familiar with sharepoint, but I imagine the snapshot would have had the url pointing to the old sharepoint, so checking out (in Robohelp) would have checked out the original project I think. So a manual checkout using sharepoint *should* allow the change to stick, in theory.

I can't help with what behind the scenes files might contain the details or even if they would be editable (might not be for security reasons).

Perhaps something isn't checked out correctly with the automatic process. One thing to try would be to check out the entire project manually, then change the settings, then check everything back in manually.

The SharePoint Administrator had  generate a snapshot of the project and upload it to the new Sharepoint Environment. After 2 days trying to figure out why the sharepoint connector reverted to the previous site, I decided to give up on the Open Version Control solution and added the project to SharePoint, that did the trick! I would still like to know if anybody knows in the database where site information might be stored and if moving forward , it is best to use the native process of adding a project to SharePoint instead of using a snapshot?

    Thanks!

If you're all patched up with whatever was the last patch for RH2017, and not finding any suggestions here on the forums (the main supporters aren't users of version control), I suggest you give the RH folks a ping - see https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/enterprise-support.other.html#robohelp for your Adobe Support options. I'd recommend using the tcssup@adobe.com e-mail address as it reaches a team dedicated to Technical Communication Suite products including RoboHelp.

Sorry I can't be more helpful - it sounds like some older setting is attached to the project. You could probably confirm that by creating a brand new test project with the correct settings & see if it behaves in the same way or not. If it doesn't, then you know for sure that it's something in the original project that is messed up.
